Lord, if it is not your will, don’t let me hold onto it. Don’t let me fight for what I need to release. Help me to free what I need to let go of. Lord, if it is not your will, help me to accept as you take it away from me. Give me the strength to go on knowing that I am better without those things not meant for me. I need your strength to stand strong in the midst of situations that require much of me. Lord, if it is not your will, give me the wisdom to understand why things don't always go on our way, why we don't always get what we want.
