Lord, If It Is Not Your Will, Take It Away From Me

Lord, if it is not your will, don’t let me hold onto it.  Don’t let me fight for what I need to release. Help me to free what I need to let go of.

Lord, if it is not your will, help me to accept as you take it away from me. Give me the strength to go on knowing that I am better without those things not meant for me. I need your strength to stand strong in the midst of situations that require much of me.

Lord, if it is not your will, give me the wisdom to understand why things don't always go on our way, why we don't always get what we want. Give me the faith to trust in you and the plans you have for me.

Lord, if it is not your will, help me to embrace it. I would probably be hurt and saddened. Please remind me of your love and your greater plans. You know better. You know what’s right for me.

Lord if it is not your will, help me to stop worrying about it. Give me the peace to hope for the unknown.

Lord if it is not your will, give me the obedience to follow You wherever You want me to go. Give me the patience to wait for better things. You make all things beautiful in Your time.

Lord, I know you’re working on me to become the person you want me to be. I put my confidence in your will. For I know that what's meant for me will come after me, what's meant to happen will fall into place and what's meant to be part of my life will always arrive.

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.  They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”  Jeremiah 17:7-8
