In life, we often find ourselves praying fervently for something we desire, hoping that our prayers will be answered. However, there are moments when our prayers seem to go unanswered, leaving us confused and disappointed. It is during these times of apparent disappointment that we may fail to recognize that an unanswered prayer can actually be a blessing in disguise, orchestrated by God.  I vividly remember a particular time in my life when I desperately prayed for a specific opportunity to come my way. I had set my heart on it, believing that it was the path I was meant to take. I poured my heart out in prayer, hoping for a positive outcome. However, as time passed, it became evident that my prayer was not going to be answered in the way I had expected. Initially, I was devastated and questioned why God had seemingly ignored my heartfelt plea. Doubts and confusion flooded my mind, and I struggled to make sense of the situation.   Before this year ends, I want to write an appreciation post to the ones who made this year bearable and extra special. Thank you to the ones who provided a safe space for me.   Pray for a man who will pursue you. You are deserving of someone who recognizes your true worth. A man who will never make you feel insufficient or undeserving in any way. He will admire you as if you were made of gold, and he will pursue you because he thinks you're worth it — worth his time, effort, and affection. Thank you because you gave me the chance to become an elder sister, a mother, a protector and an adviser.   They will help you nourish your soul. They are friends who will help you grow in the Lord. With them, you can serve and trust God with all your heart. You can help each other out in your pursuit of the knowledge and ways of God. You will know some things about God that they may not know, and they will know some things that you may not know. Thus, are able to help contribute to each other’s storehouse of knowledge in the Lord.  They can be your second home. They'll be your go-to life guides, the ones who can be your therapist without spending a penny. They'll be the place you go to when you desperately need a sense of security and familiarity.   In this season of waiting for you, I'm going to learn to love myself, since you can't fully love and accept another person until you fully love and accept yourself. I'm going to work on my inner demons and take the steps necessary to mend the areas where I haven't yet. I'm going to stop hurling obscenities at myself over my appearance. I'm going to quit comparing myself to others and feeling like I'm falling short. I will stop behaving as if I'm a burden to those who care about me.
